H.O.T school

We are a H.O.T. school (higher order thinking). Art helps us to use and develop our creative thinking skills! We learn art from different cultures, time periods, and art movements.  We use a variety of media in creating our art work, including tempera, acrylics, clay, oil pastels, and water colors.  We are involved in museum displays around the state of Connecticut and have even won awards for some of our works of art!

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT ?

2008-2009 School Year:  This website is for JJIS artists & their artwork. On this website you can see student artwork and learn a little bit about the art program. There is a page for each grade level. Other pages will highlight student or faculty artwork and the Art Ed Board. The idea for this website came from students. We hope some of next year's 5th graders will be interested in maintaining the website.

2009-2010 School Year Update:  Yes!  We 5th grade students (and one 4th grader) are updating and maintaining this website for our artists.  Thanks for passing the torch to us.  We'll do our best.  Bryce, Emily, Jessica, Josh, Jordan, Madison and Crystal. - GO JJIS Jaguars!!
